About the CCF
A Legacy of Giving

Doris Wilk lived most of her life in Washington state, but had a fondness for Chickasha that arose from visits to Oklahoma as a child.  At her death she arranged a gift from her estate to establish the Chickasha Community Foundation in 2011 honoring her aunt, Helen Ward.  Today that gift has grown to over  $3 million.  Wilk’s seed money has made it possible for the CCF board to grant over $1 million to Chickasha non-profit organizations since inception.  The foundation has contributed to non-profit and charitable organizations that support the arts, education and social services. The Foundation was created with a goal of providing a vehicle through which donors could connect to the charitable needs of the community.

Organization

The Chickasha Community Foundation is governed by a local board of directors and administered through the Communities Foundation of Oklahoma.   CCF Board members include Jim Allen, Pat Brooks, Diana Brown, Greg Elliot, and Marilyn Feaver.
