ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

A LEGACY OF GIVING

Since its inception in 2011 through 2021, the Chickasha Community Foundation (CCF) has granted over $1 million to local charitable, educational, arts, and social needs in Chickasha. CCF was originally created with a gift from Doris Wilk in memory of her aunt and uncle, Helen and Kenneth Ward, longtime Chickasha residents.

In 2021, the CCF board voted to focus on the downtown park project as a marque,
game changing community improvement which would also help stimulate the
revitalization of Chickasha’s historic downtown district.

The CCF has a commitment to the City of Chickasha to construct and maintain the
park long term. The foundation raised/contributed $1.4 million in 2022 toward the
completion of phase 1, the Arts Plaza.

Now we are proceeding with the fundraising to complete phase 2, the final phase of
the park. CCF currently has assets of approximately $3 million available to support
maintenance of the park upon completion, along with the endowment funds to be
raised as part of the aggregate fundraising goal.

Chickasha Community Foundation is a community fund under the umbrella of
